Geraldine (Gerrie) Long, 72, of Buckingham, PA, was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 31, 2022. Born in Pittsburgh on June 20, 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Betty (Gust) Sinneway.
Gerrie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ronald, daughter Elizabeth (Justin) Coyle, sister Jane (Ronald) Wamsley, brother-in-law Alan (Sarina) Long, and grandchildren Maren, Renna, Brynn, and Jarret Coyle, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gerrie's favorite career was being a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines for 23 years. This developed her deep love for traveling which she and Ron did for many years to wonderful places, including Israel and Europe. After graduating from University of Pennsylvania, she worked as a CPA and certified fraud examiner (CFE) for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 26 years. Some of Gerrie's other hobbies included scrapbooking, kayaking, and reading her Bible every day.
Gerrie's greatest mission in life was serving her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was known for her incredible Faith and values and spent her life Witnessing the Gospel of Jesus to those she met. Now that Gerrie has physically left this Earth, we should remind ourselves that this is the beginning of her eternal life in Heaven.
Because of her great love for Jesus Christ, Gerrie donated countless hours and financial support to several charitable organizations, including Feed My Starving Children and Samaritan's Purse. She also volunteered her services at various churches, and was a founding member of Palisades Community Bible Church in Revere, PA.
There is no doubt that Gerrie is hearing the words, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant," in the great cloud of witnesses. Services for Gerrie will be held on June 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel Bucks County in Chalfont, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gerrie's favorite charity, Samaritan's Purse.
