Richard James Stoffel (Dicky) New Castle It is with great sadness that the family of Richard James Stoffel (Dicky) announces his passing. He died suddenly in his sleep at his home in New Castle, Friday, December 29, 2017. Dicky was born in Rochester, Pa., on January 18, 1950. He was a former resident of Midland, Pa. He worked for Crucible Steel and later for Ellwood Quality Steels Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Vincent Stoffel, Jr. and Sophia Katich Stoffel. Dicky is lovingly remembered by his sister, Marcy Groll (Frank), Mt. Lebanon; brother, George (Helen), Lakewood, Ohio; nephew, Geoffrey Stoffel, Fort Gratiot, Mich.; nieces, Aimee Sayles (Richie), Bay Village, Ohio, and Lauren Stoffel, North Olmsted, Ohio; devoted friend, Robert (Bobby) Rumcik, New Castle; and his long time friend, Paulette Cohara Vranich of Hermitage. Dicky enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His wit and great sense of humor brought smiles to many. He was a sports enthusiast and especially liked golf, and watching football and horse racing. He will be dearly missed by all.
