In Memory

Russell Epley

I have no information on this.  I had to confirm this by searching on the web.  I tried to contact his family, but had no response.

Russell was a dear old friend. We were Spring Lane kids. Someone that I have known since before kindergarden.   He sat behind me in every homeroom class & we always had a good laugh every day.  I am sure that many of you had memories like this, too.  I am sorry that I didn't get to say good bye to a great guy - that had a very hard life, but still kept on going.  Russell did participate in our website for a while.  He had a neighbor who helped him to communicate on this site.  After his communications stopped, I would call him & try to send him birthday cards or Christmas Cards. I know that this wasn't enough, but, I can only hope that Russell will forgive me.  I know that Russell is in a better place & may his memory be eternal.

Also, I am sorry that this information is so late.  I just didn't want to believe that this was true.

Never really got to know Russ personally very well. But, I remember him well. He always had that signature "Russell Epley" grin and was so very friendly. Always ready to lend a helping hand or be a cheerful blessing to all that he met. My hope is that he knew the LORD and is now with HIM .... where there are no sorrows, regrets or tears for eternity! Such a really neat guy...and he will be missed by the class of '67. Rest in peace Russ! We love and miss you!

The above photo is of me and Russell. He lived across the street from us on Spring Lane and was my first crush. I will never forget him and saddened by the fact that he had such a tragic life. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing but know he's in a better place.

R.I.P. Russell, you will be missed.
